ACE-031
ACE-031 is a synthetic peptide that acts as a myostatin inhibitor. It promotes muscle-regulatory pathways and strength by blocking myostatin, a protein that limits muscle development.
Mechanism of action
ACE-031 functions as a soluble form of activin receptor type IIB (ActRIIB). It binds to myostatin and other ligands that normally activate the ActRIIB signaling pathway. By sequestering these ligands, ACE-031 prevents their interaction with the native ActRIIB receptor on muscle cells, thereby inhibiting the myostatin signaling cascade and promoting muscle hypertrophy.
