Suppliers below this threshold may occasionally produce acceptable material, but the inconsistency introduces a confounding variable into research. If a study fails, the researcher cannot distinguish between a genuine negative result and a material quality issue.
Limitations of the System
No rating system is perfect. Important caveats include:
- Ratings reflect historical performance and may not capture recent quality changes

Peptx exclusively sources from manufacturers with a Finnrick rating of 7 or above. This threshold is applied as a binary gate: suppliers below 7.0 are not listed on the platform, regardless of pricing. When a supplier's rating drops below 7.0 following a reassessment, their products are removed from the catalogue until the rating is restored.
